1. Office provides simple and cost-effective solutions for multilingual individuals, families, and small businesses.
  2. From Microsoft Germany. Microsft Office 2010 doesn't support the German Language Package for the download afterwards any longer. In the link I sent it says (freely translated): 'If you have Office 2010 (or any older version), language packages won't be supported and are not available any longer.'
  3. Microsoft Office 2010 RTM has been available to download for some time now. Like Windows Language Interface Packs, Office 2010 language packs allow you change the language used for text in menus, dialog boxes and toolbars.
  4. I have a new PC and still have Office 2010 Home and Student. The version of Office I have has three licenses, of which I used 2. The third is still open. My problem is, that I use the German language.

I have Office 2010 with a license.Office is in Romanian and i want to change it in English. I have installed english language pack, installed it and nothing happened.I have also Windows 7 in English.All the languages are set to English in Office, keyboards, zone, region, all things are in english.

Language packs add additional display, help, and proofing tools to Office. You can install additional language accessory packs after installing Microsoft Office. If a language accessory pack is described as having partial localization, some parts of Office may still display in the language of your copy of Microsoft Office.

If a language is listed only once, for example German, then that pack includes the tools for all countries/regions that use that language.

Important: If your organization installed Office on your computer, contact your IT department to install any language packs.

If you're an administrator...

  • If you're an administrator who has deployed a volume licensed version of Office 2016 to your users, you can download an ISO image of the language packs, language interface packs, and proofing tools from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
  • If you're an administrator who has deployed a volume licensed version of Office 2019 to your users, you can deploy language packs by using the Office Deployment Tool.

Step 1: Install the language accessory pack

Select the version of Office you're using from the tabs below, then select the language desired from the drop-down list. Then choose the appropriate architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) from the download links provided. If you're not sure what you're using see What version of Office am I using?

Step 2: Configure Office language

After you install the language accessory pack, you must configure Office for your new language preferences.

  1. Open any Office program and then click File > Options > Language.
  2. Under Choose Editing Languages, make sure that the language you want to use is added to this list.
    If the language accessory pack includes proofing tools for that language, the Proofing column shows Installed.
  3. Under Choose Display and Help languages, you can change the default display and help languages for all your Office applications.
    If the language accessory pack contained display and help for the language, you should see it listed here.
  4. Restart all Office programs for your changes to take effect.
    You can change the default language for all your Office applications in the Set the Office Language Preferences dialog. For more information, see Add a language or set language preferences in Office.

Microsoft Office 2010 RTM has been available to download for some time now. Like Windows Language Interface Packs, Office 2010 language packs allow you change the language used for text in menus, dialog boxes and toolbars.

Office 2010 language packs are available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Please note that the language pack installation screens will show the instructions and options in the language that you are installing (we have used English language pack in this guide, so all texts are in English).

Install language pack for Office 2010

1. Download Office 2010 language pack from here. Office 2010 language packs are available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Make sure that you have downloaded the right language pack before installing the pack.

2. Double-click on the downloaded file and click continue for the UAC prompt.

3. In the next screen, you will asked to select a Microsoft Office product. Select Microsoft Office 2010 language pack from the list and click Continue button to see the license agreement screen.

4. Accept the license agreement, click Continue button.

5. In the following screen, you can choose between custom or direct install methods. If your Windows drive (generally “C” drive) running out of space, click Custom button to change the install location.

6. Installation may take a few minutes. Once done, you will see successfully installed message.

Please note that Office 2010 RTM language packs are not available yet. So, if you are running Office 2010 RTM, please wait for a few days.
